Who is Kakono Yuurei?
Yuurei is very quiet and has beautiful ancient looking appearance, graceful in all her actions she talks very distinguishedly, politely, and with an air of humility and humbleness. She was raised in a very traditional home by adopted parents, who never told her she was adopted (she figured it out on her own when she met Ako.) She was raised never to argue or be impolite, and rarely does so. Nonetheless, she is not without flaws and quickly gets impatient with people she deems as "beneath" her. She's subservient, particularly to men, though she has been known to coyly toy with the hearts of male admirers.
Yuurei attends a private school in rich Setagaya-ku. Unfortunately, due to the fact her school does not have a ballet club, she attends the ballet club at Juuban High School.
Yuurei's twin sister is Ako, they met one another when they were quite young and discovered their true identities and past through help from an unknown source. The full truth of the Golden Millennium was revealed to them (or so they thought) and they made it their mission to find the other Zodiac Senshi.

As the Zodiac Senshi Sailorpisces, Pisces tends to hang in the background while Aries tends to take the lead, even though Aries is younger. She also wields a staff. Like her sister, she is powerless. When the staffs are brought together, it can heal, or make blasts of energy, but Pisces herself has no power as a Senshi. She does have a power to read minds, however it is limited to when she is Sailorpisces.

Attacks & Powers

Pisces Cosmic Star Power, Make Up
Pisces doesn't even need to say these words, she can turn into a Zodiac Senshi wordlessly. Nothing happens except one second she is in normal clothing and the next she isn't.

    Staff of Pisces
The staff is sort of a weapon which Pisces always carries with her. The top of it has half of a purple star, and when held up to the other half it can heal or destroy.

Author's Comments

In the original version, there really wasn't much to Yuurei. Yes, she danced and everything--but she didn't really have much of a personality. Just that she was the more quiet and submissive of the two twins. I decided when I wrote the rewrite to do something to really make her and Ako as opposite as possible...I also decided to relate this to the current social situations in Japan.
People who've spent any time in Japan (and paid attention) will notice there is still a vast gender gap between men and women (of course, this still exists in America as well). Women are still expected to be quiet and not speak their opinions, of course that's not to say there are lots of women who're doing whatever they want, the "traditional" woman certainly still exists. I decided then to make Yuurei a truly traditional girl. She's smart, cute, sweet, charming...but she's also quiet, subservient, and rarely disagrees with anything--not even the weather. When my Japanese boyfriend made mistakes, I was blamed for them since that was my "duty" as his girlfriend (to make sure he was being a good boy.) When I told people I wanted to become a lawyer or businesswoman, I was chastised since "how could I take care of my husband?" When I dissented about anything...well, I was considered a rude female (or just an American ;P)...and all of this was done by "forward thinking" people (albeit, older people and not people my age.) The characters of Sailormoon live in this sort of society and I wanted to reflect that in the story...and I also wanted to have the twins complete opposites, but also extreme versions of what can be found in mainstream Japan. Two types of very unusual girls, one the super-traditional girl that liberals disdain as "backward" and the other a rebellious "new Japanese girl" that conservatives call "Americanized." I just thought it'd be an interesting dichotomy. =P And for anyone casually reading it and not interested in my social commentary, its just the bad girl and the good girl--just not the American versions. ^_^
